Exhausted, but Happy!

I believe, the last we posted, we were still in Newark waiting for our flight to London on Virgin Atlantic. We departed around 10 p.m. yesterday and got to London safely today, May 29th. For the record, Emirates Airlines is still our all time favorite. Virgin Atlantic, well, no thank you. The service was great, but the space was horrible. At least the lady with the dog was not on our flight. No issues with passport control, gathering luggage, or customs. Smooth sailing.

We had our traditional toasted ham and mature cheddar croissants at the Caffe' Nero (in the airport). Dax enjoyed real coffee, and we had a wonderful visit with 2 couples (from England) who had just returned from holiday in Vegas and Key West.

Our wait for the Hoppa Bus (H-9) at stop #12.
Met another lovely couple who just returned from holiday in Nashville.

Love the Hoppa Bus with lots of room for our luggage.

On the Hoppa Bus with Isaiah being stubborn for a decent picture. And, yet again, met another kind couple from California. They were on their honeymoon and have had to deal with the British Airway fiasco. Their words, "Never, fly British Airways. They will do nothing to help you." They had to get a hotel, buy new luggage and clothes, wait two days to leave and still hope they can get their other luggage and all belongings back. They were originally scheduled to go to Italy 2 days ago. They have missed that part of their honeymoon. They were in good spirits and will have lots of stories to share about their adventure. Glad we didn't have to experience British Airways.

We were awake for over 30 hours. It's our tradition to order Herbie's Pizza after our showers. This time we added some BBQ wings. Perfect!

Showered, full,  and knocked out for a two hour nap. No problems sleeping!

After a nap and some down time, we ordered some food from the hotel bar.

The tuna melt and slaw were delicious, burger was decent, onion rings were great.
The nachos, however,  we will not order again.

These two, my world, love them. Still.
