Sacked out at 7 p.m.

He showered off his "travel germs" and
just could not stay awake past 7:00 p.m.

This is how you pack for multiple seasons in multiple countries!

Smooth Travels to London

With all of our travels in the last 15 years, never have we had such a smooth 24 hours. Made it through 2 immigrations (Toronto and Heathrow) without waiting. Our flights were on time and pleasant. On the way to London, Isaiah fell asleep after his "late movie" and stayed asleep until we woke him upon landing in London. He slept about 5 hours. Perfect day of travel!

KC to Toronto

I don't usually sleep on international flights; however, I do believe I just might do that tonight. Great last day at school today! And, thanks to our Admin and my wonderful colleagues, I was able to wrap things up at school, dump my stuff in my office at home, spend a significant amount of time wet vac' ing the basement, finish up throwing last minute items in our suitcases and get out the door on time! So nice of our neighbors (Stacey, Quincey, and Shirley) to "see" us off and of course, we are appreciative of Jim's transportation to the airport! Our check in and flight could have not gone any better. We arrived in Toronto and had the privilege of walking at least 3 miles to get to immigration which was also uneventful. Now time to find something to eat before flying to London. Have to go, so no time to upload boring pictures. The picture below was in KC while waiting to leave. More later.

Mt. Rainier

On the steps where many people begin to climb Mt. Rainier.

Just above the steps. Yes, son, that is as far as we will allow you to climb.

It is interesting how Mt. Rainier has its own weather systems.

They did not want to stop their hike and pose for a picture. Thanks, guys, for cooperating. I can't even remember the name of the Falls to which we were hiking. I probably wrote it down somewhere!

We went farther down, but there was too much spray to take a good picture.

This is a hike we took -- see that lil orange flag sticking up. That's actually marking the trail that we could not see because of the deep snow. The only problem was, the flags stopped. We kept going until we found some bear poop. Yep, we taught Isaiah how to investigate bear scat with a stick. We found some fur in it. Cool stuff, eh?

Our hike in the snow was soooo worth the views...
