Full Fun Day in London

We slept well last night and made it to breakfast. No blood pudding or beans for us! We had omelets, waffles and fruit.

Scotland Yard's Crime Museum, also known as Black Museum, is no longer open to the public. We were disappointed; however, we found another option.

We walked to Hatton Cross and took the Piccadilly Line to St. Pancras. We hung at Starbuck's for a bit and then took the Thameslink to Mill Hill Broadway, and jumped on the 303 bus to Colindale. There, we spent hours at the RAF (Royal Air Force) Museum. Our journey there was interesting, too.

While waiting for the bus, two ladies were fighting (verbally). One lady was getting ready to light a cigarette and the other lady asked her to please light up on the other side of her. She didn't want the wind blowing the smoke in her face. The lady refused. That was a decent five minutes worth of entertainment.

Here is the woman who was mad at the other lady who lit up a cigarette at the bus stop.

Once on the bus, a lady decided to take it upon herself to help us know exactly when to get off the bus for the RAF Museum. She sat herself right down by Dax and talked non-stop. Not only did she do that, but she got off the bus and walked with us, all the while still talking. She is 67 years old, disabled, divorced, and has 5 grown kids. She also added, "I bleached my own hair. I wasn't going to go and pay someone so they could line their own pockets. I did it myself and lined my own." She allowed me to take her picture and share it with my friends. She told us her name is Zoey, but then told us that it is not her real name because she didn't want us to know what it really was. So, here's Zoey. Oh, she also asked me if the movie about the yellow brick road was real. Bless her heart.

Here is a photo of Zoey plopped down by Dax. The lady in the background is the one who lit her cigarette and let the smoke blow on the other woman.

The Royal Air Force Museum was wonderful. Isaiah was able to sit in a Spitfire and have someone explain to him one-on-one all the controls and stuff (throttle, rudder pedals, flying,
yaw and roll, how to bail out because they had to destroy the plane--two buttons at the same time, turn over and let gravity pull you out, firing). Pretty amazing to be able to experience that first hand. He loved it. The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the prettiest girls at the dance. The other one is the PF 51 Mustang. I'm pretty sure Dax and Isaiah looked at and talked about every single thing in that place.

Dax has never met a stranger on any form of public transportation.

Hanging out at St. Pancras/Kings Crossing after our delicious dinner at Prezzo.
