These pictures do not do this place justice. You know how you look at places on the internet and think, "Yeah right, that has to be 'photo shopped'-- no way this place will be THAT beautiful." Well, I'm telling you, this place is incredible.
2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big closets and dressers and TVs,
wifi with a stronger connection than work, big entry way, kitchen, dining, and living area.
Even a covered patio all the way across the place.
The lighting in all the pictures is horrible--this place has wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling windows. LOVE IT!
The picture below on the left is looking from the living room,
through the dining area, kitchen and to the entry way.
The photo on the right is from the same position, but I just turned around
and that's part of the huge patio.
These four photos are all on the patio. The side with the 2 lounge chairs, drying rack and dinner table is on the same side as our living room.
The photos with the round table is in front of our master bedroom.
Since we had no food, I called the apartment manager to hook me up with a ride to a store.
I waited by the security gate out front and my ride arrived within 5 minutes.
Great driver and patiently waited for me while I did my grocery shopping.
He even helped me carry up all my stuff to our 3rd floor apartment.
Sweet, sweet man.
Lessons learned on first grocery visit:
1. Store much cleaner than US stores.
Women were even lying on floor scrubbing under the shelves.
2. The smell of raw meat (and it wasn't just the fish) makes me want to puke.
3. I am still really good at picking out the correct milk, cheese, and butter in foreign countries
with no knowledge of the native language.
4. If you can't read the label that is showing on the front of a container, sometimes if you turn it
to the back side you will be pleasantly surprised with English.
5. My favorite drink is Malee 100% pasteurized black currant, mixed strawberry and red
grape juice.
6. There are some HUGE carrots here.
7. Fruit Loops here are muted colored mini rice cake rings.
8. You can't buy table salt unless you buy it in a bag the size of a powdered sugar bag.
9. Always hesitate when buying eggs--never know what bird laid them.
After the store, we had breakfast and headed to the beach.
Dax and Isaiah walking ahead of me.
Watch your step, boys. Elephant dung in Thailand looks like Kansas cow patties.
This is much different than the elephant dung we saw in South Africa.
Dax and Isaiah swimming in the Indian Ocean.
The next two photos are of me and Isaiah.
Just a dog.
Leaving Bangtao Beach.
Our walk back to the apartment from Bangtao Beach.
Can you see the BIG monsoon raindrops from our patio?
Video of rain.
We did laundry today, too!
Before we made supper, we decided to take a swim.
Nothing like having the beach and the pool to ourselves today.
More silly fun!
The apartment grounds are beautiful.
I really should just spend an afternoon taking pictures of the beauty around our place.
I love these two! They are MINE!
